Admission for Indian students

For bachelor's, Class 12 with mathematics; for master's, a B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc. or BCA in IT, depending on the university. MRU does not accept three-year Indian degrees for master's and VILNIUS TECH accepts only B.Tech or B.E. VIKO takes only direct applications, without agents.

Career and salaries

Security operations, IT audit, network security and compliance roles are found at banks, telecoms, IT service providers and government contractors. Some public-sector and defence-related security jobs require Lithuanian citizenship or clearance, so the private sector is the realistic market. Lithuania's average gross wage was ₹2.8 lakh (€2,628.20) a month in mid-2026; security specialists are paid above it.

Recognition in India

A cyber security degree from Lithuania is recognised as an EU degree in IT. Industry certifications (CompTIA, CEH, OSCP) that you can add during your studies are valued in India as much as the degree itself.
