Why consider VIKO

VIKO was formed in 2000 from several Vilnius colleges, and on 1 July 2024 it absorbed the Vilnius College of Technologies and Design. The professional bachelor's it awards takes three or three and a half years, includes long internships and is cheaper than a university degree in the same city.

The English programmes cover business and economics, banking, tourism, hotel and restaurant business, logistics, software engineering, information systems and cyber security, civil engineering and popular music.

Fees are from the national catalogue. VIKO's 2026 rules for foreign applicants gave ₹3 lakh (€2,800) for business, economics, banking and tourism and ₹3.8 lakh (€3,600) for software, information systems, cyber security and civil engineering, so confirm the amount in your invitation letter.

Payment and refund

After VIKO invites you, you have ten working days to pay the full year's tuition. If you do not get the residence permit, VIKO refunds it, minus a ₹5,740 (€54) bank charge for transfers to non-EU banks.

VIKO has no accommodation for international students. Budget for a room in a shared flat in Vilnius; our cost of living page has current rents.

Applying without an agent

VIKO's policy is not to work with agents or agencies at all. That has two consequences for Indian applicants: you fill in the online application yourself, and any intermediary who claims to have a "quota" at VIKO is not authorised. The process:

  1. Apply in VIKO's single application round (1 January – 31 March in 2026) and pay the ₹10,600 (€100) fee.
  2. Take VIKO's remote English test (B2 level is required) and the mathematics exam or VIKO's assessment.
  3. Pay the annual tuition within ten working days of the invitation.
  4. Apply for the residence permit with VIKO's mediation letter.

Everyone takes VIKO's English test, even with IELTS. See our English requirements guide.

Jobs after a professional bachelor's

A VIKO degree is a full bachelor's in the EU qualification framework, aimed at work rather than research. Software, cyber security and logistics graduates find jobs in Vilnius most easily. If you want a master's later, some universities ask professional-bachelor graduates to take bridging courses first. See bachelor's degrees in Lithuania.

VIKO: Frequently Asked Questions

What are VIKO fees for international students?
The national catalogue lists ₹3.1 lakh (€2,900) a year for business, tourism, banking and logistics programmes and ₹4 lakh (€3,800) for software engineering, cyber security and civil engineering. VIKO's 2026 admission rules gave ₹3 lakh (€2,800) and ₹3.8 lakh (€3,600). Check the fee for your intake with VIKO before paying.
Does VIKO work with agents?
No. VIKO's own policy is not to work with agents or agencies. You apply directly through VIKO's website. Anyone charging you a fee for a 'VIKO seat' is not acting for the college.

No. VIKO states that it does not provide accommodation for international students. You must rent privately in Vilnius.
When can I apply to VIKO?
For 2026 entry there was a single round from 1 January to 31 March 2026. The 2027 dates were not yet published in October 2026; expect a similar window early in the year.
