What you study
Machine learning and deep learning, mathematics for AI, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics or intelligent systems, and the ethics and regulation of AI under the EU AI Act. Engineering-oriented programmes (KTU, VILNIUS TECH's Engineering of AI) are heavy on mathematics and programming; management-oriented ones (VILNIUS TECH's Management of AI Solutions, SMK's Future Business and AI, VU's Language and AI Management) focus on applying AI in organisations.

Scholarships
VILNIUS TECH offers free tuition to applicants with 80% marks and 25–50% discounts from 70%, which applies to its AI programmes; KTU considers every applicant for a tuition waiver. See university scholarships.
Admission for Indian students
Bachelor's: Class 12 with mathematics and physics, 60% or more in the relevant subjects. Master's: B.Tech or B.E. in computer science, IT or electronics for VILNIUS TECH; KTU and others also consider B.Sc. degrees in mathematics or computer science with programming. Expect an interview at VILNIUS TECH.
Career and salaries
Machine-learning engineer and data scientist roles exist in Vilnius and Kaunas, mostly at software, fintech and research companies, and usually ask for a master's. For comparison, the average gross wage in Lithuania was ₹2.8 lakh (€2,628.20) a month in the second quarter of 2026. AI graduates who build a strong project portfolio also have options across the EU and back in India.
Recognition in India
AI degrees from KTU and VILNIUS TECH are engineering degrees of accredited EU universities. AIU equivalence is available if an Indian institution or employer asks for it.
