Law, education and sociology
- Law: MRU (Law and Global Security; LL.M. in Mediation and LegalTech; International Law; EU Law and Governance; European and International Business Law) and Vilnius University (International and European Law). One-year LL.M. programmes at MRU cost ₹3.7 lakh (€3,518).
- Education: Vilnius University's Career Education master's, MRU's master's in internationalisation of higher education and LCC's TESOL master's.
- Sociology and anthropology: VMU (bachelor's in Sociology and Anthropology, master's in Social Anthropology).
Where to study
Vilnius University has the broadest humanities offer, from philology to European studies. VMU follows a liberal-arts model where you combine subjects. MRU is the specialist for law, public governance and psychology. LCC in Klaipėda is a small international liberal-arts university with need-based aid.
Entry for Indian students
Any Class 12 stream is accepted for most humanities and social science bachelor's programmes. For master's degrees, a three-year BA is accepted at most universities but not at MRU. A strong motivation letter carries more weight in this field than in engineering.
Jobs
Most jobs in these fields in Lithuania require Lithuanian. The international routes are better: EU institutions and NGOs, international companies' communication teams, research, or a further degree. Plan the career angle before choosing a humanities degree abroad.
