Dental hygiene in Lithuania: Frequently Asked Questions

Is dental hygiene the same as BDS?
No. Dental hygienists clean teeth, prevent disease and educate patients; they do not perform the treatment a dentist does. For dentistry, see LSMU's or Vilnius University's odontology programmes.
Can I work as a dental hygienist in Lithuania?
After a licence, which requires Lithuanian. In India, dental hygienists are registered under the Dental Council of India's rules, so check whether a foreign degree is accepted before you rely on it there.
