Master's: which Indian degrees count
- VILNIUS TECH: only B.Tech or B.E., apostilled, with consolidated mark sheet and at least 60%. Applicants from India are also contacted by the Study in Lithuania centre to check documents.
- MRU: degree and consolidated mark sheet covering at least four years. Three-year BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA and BSc are not accepted; BSc Honours is.
- Most others (VU, KTU, VMU, ISM, Klaipėda University, LSU): a relevant bachelor's degree, including three-year degrees, judged by subject and marks. Some programmes ask for specific prior courses, such as mathematics for data science.
Holders of a professional bachelor's from a Lithuanian college can also apply for a master's, sometimes after bridging courses.
Medicine
Class 12 with physics, chemistry and biology, a qualifying NEET result, and either NEET 650+ or the university's entrance test. Details in MBBS admission.
Recognition of your Indian certificate
Lithuanian universities assess foreign qualifications themselves or through the national Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). For Indian applicants this is routine, but it takes time, which is one reason universities want apostilled documents early. See apostille and attestation.
